2025 Aberystwyth Geology Group Reunion

This a 13 room hotel which also has two cottages that can sleep three or more. We were told that there are B and Bs in the village. We stayed there in October and found it friendly, a little quirky with excellent food. It is part of the same group as Pen y Dyffryn where we stayed in 2024. Because of its size we recommend booking early and mention Aberystwyth Geology Group.
Locations to visit: There are numerous exposures of interest in the general area but we have yet to check them for interest, accessibility, and car parking. Also we appreciate that most of us now do not climb Cader Idris regularly.
We intend to spend a couple of days in the area in spring perhaps with other members of the group to finalise our ideas. Among the likely sites are The Bog, Stiperstones, Mortimer Forest and The Onny Trail in the Onny Valley near Ludlow, and Carding Mill Valley near Church Stretton, Wart Hill. Let us know if you have any ideas and we will look into them.
We will send out a more precise itinerary after our spring visit to the area.
